Violet Lumani was raised by storytellers. She grew up absorbing the oral lore her family brought from Albania with them, as well as tales of their own trials and triumphs.

FORETOLD, Book 1 of The Scryers Trilogy, is her YA debut, and is a 2022 IPPY Award Bronze Medal Winner (Young Adult – Fantasy), a 2022 Eric Hoffer Award Grand Prize 1st Runner Up (Young Adult), 2022 Finalist for First Horizon Award, 2021 Finalist for the Indies Today Award (Y.A. Literature), 2021 Runner-Up for the Maxy Award (Y.A. Literature), and has received a five star review from Indies Today.

When she isn’t writing, Violet is usually painting, playing with her precocious littles, or reading – her lifelong love of books saw her intern for a Big 5 publisher and work as a bookseller once upon a time. She is currently a Marketing Director for a company called Oracle (no relation to the oracles in FORETOLD). Violet holds a BA from Barnard College of Columbia University, and an MBA from UCONN, and lives in Connecticut with her husband, two kids, and a pair of bickering chihuahuas named Kiwi and Coconut.
